Maria Jose Moran Alcain

María José Moran Guatemalan visual artist, who has lived, studied and  worked in Guatemala. Curious about everything, passionate about colors and shapes that help her convey the analogy of life in her art. Inspired by the great artist Salvador Dalí and his surrealist art movement.

His studies have been at the Walter Peter Brenner Art Academy "Ars Artis" for more than 10 years specializing in technical drawing, color theory, philosophy, semiotics, among others. As well as he also received classes with Jorge Mazariegos, professor of technical art, Roberto Rios and Ricardo Silva where he developed the appropriate techniques for the use of paint such as oil, acrylic, pencil, charcoal, etc. It is important to emphasize that in the learning history of María José is the teacher Benito Arreaga with whom she discovered access to different states of mind through hermetic philosophy and sacred geometry.

All his art is based on this phrase "Art is the selective recreation of reality, according to the metaphysical value judgments of the artist" said by Ayn Rand. Since María José, according to her trial analysis, captures her philosophical extractions from reality on canvas, so her art must be intelligible on its own.
